There seem to be people that don't dig the exploration elements of Metroid Prime and the puzzle work that complements it, but it's perfect match for my tastes. In the end, it was Metroid Prime that made me go "wow" more than any other title. It's not because I was amazed that a US studio could pull off such a perfect realization of a Metroid game in 3D AND in the first-person perspective although I still believe Retro could have easily pulled off a third-person game as well , it's simply because Metroid Prime is an amazing title by itself -- no matter what the license is.
